TokenWorks Inc. was formed in 1998 as a Delaware corporation.   The Company's shares are privately held.  Milestones;

• June 2008 - The IDWedge™ AutoFill Application scans IDs, drivers licenses from 49 states (all but GA), most Canadian provinces (including National Health ID), Military Ids and Payment Cards (Credit Debit cards) fills any form on a PC that accepts keyboard input.
• September 2007 - IDVisor Z22 CounterTop ID Scanner Announced. Lower cost alternative to Mobile version tailored to C-Stores, Liquor Stores and Taverns.
• March 2007 - IDVisor® Z22 Mobile ID Scanner Announced. Improvement include color screen and ruggedized design for mobile applications.
• August 2006 - Introduced DigiSwipe formally launched.
• September 2005 - CardVisor-BC-Edge Announced.  A Low cost drivers license scanner perfect for Liquor stores, C-Stores, and at fix locations in bars/nightclubs.
• July 2005 - Started Shipping Beta version of DigiSwipe™ 3 track CompactFlash Magnetic Card reader.
• October 2003 - New Bar Code Reader Cradle for CardVisor ID Scanner package expands coverage to all states with machine readable licenses! 
• July 2002 - Introduced CardDB^® ID verification package based on the CardTool reader and used at hundreds of colleges/universities to verify student ID cards.
• May 2002 - Introduced CardVisor^® ID Scanner package, a Driver License - Age Verification application based on the  CardTool reader.
• February 2002 - Introduced CardTool^® Magnetic Card Reader for Handspring Visor Palm OS Handheld computer.

The founders of TokenWorks have been involved in the Smart Card market since 1992 and have participated in a number of industry events and associations such as the Smart Card Forum, Smart Card Industry Association, Smart Card Alliance, CardTech/SecureTech, and National Association of Campus Card Users.

In all our efforts, the following principles are paramount:

The name TokenWorks derives from our experiences in Token based systems.  Token based system use a smart card, magnetic card, bar code, or contactless card to authenticate an individual for payment or access to a product/service.  The systems have much in common, but differ in the card technology.  Therefore the term token is pertinent to all systems.   The term works conveys an image of a foundry or factory where products are brought to life.  Therefore TokenWorks attempts to convey that we are involved in the creation of Token based systems.

   The output of a writer, artist, or musician considered or collected as a whole: the works of Shakespeare.
3. Engineering structures, such as bridges or dams.
