CardDB ID Card Verification
Below are download links for versions of
CardDB software. They've been tested but we recommend you install
this on just one device and do some testing before you upgrade all the CardTool readers with this software. The software will upgrade an
existing CardDB application only and will not install over other
CardTool application such as CardScribe or CardVisor.
The user manual is
on-line and
is a 5Mbyte Adobe file so plan ahead.
This new version of CardDB has many
new features and is user
configurable unlike the original version which had many parameters ‘hard
coded’. You may have to dig up the card mapping form you submitted to
TokenWorks when configuring this software. If you install this on a
unit, which has recently run CardDB, it will read the existing values
for the ID string length, starting location, track, and card status
length/starting location (if any). It will default to the CardDB
database name. If installed on a new machine, these parameters
will need to be set prior to swiping the first card.
The program is a bit more complex than the previous
version and you urged to review the user manual and post questions to
the
discussion forum for CardDB. It’s our intent to create an on-line
support knowledge base for CardDB by responding to questions via this
forum. As you have
questions/comments/rants/raves about the new version, please post them
in the
CardDB section of the discussion forum so that others may benefit.

This is for the IDVisor Z22 version
of hardware. Has ability to select no
database from database set up form - this allows changing track
number and offset for parsing. Previously, code would not let you
exit the set up form unless a valid CardDB.pdb database was found in
memory.
Also changed error screen to warning screen
on app load when carddb database not present. This is should help
clarify warning message for some new customers.
To install, simply hotsync into IDVisor Z22
hardware and it should overwrite existing version of CardDB
